Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the Magento Ambassador platform (the “Platform”), which is operated by the Magento Association (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to register.
• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Each person may have one account only.
• You may connect only GitHub, LinkedIn or email accounts that belong to you.

2. Contributions

• You may submit only contributions you actually made, and they must be accurately described.
• You must not submit duplicates, fabricate activity, game the scoring system, or work with others to inflate points.
• Time entries must reflect real work done for the Magento Association.
• We review contributions manually and may approve, rate, reject or remove them at our discretion.

3. Points, leaderboard and recognition

We do not publish the scoring rules, to keep the programme fair. Points, rankings and the Magento Ambassador title are awarded at the sole discretion of the Magento Association. They have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and may be recalculated or corrected at any time. Company rankings include only eligible Magento Association member companies. 2026 is a beta year, so features, categories and scoring may change.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to store, review and display that content, and links to it, for the purpose of running and promoting the programme. Your content must not infringe the rights of others or be unlawful, offensive or misleading.

5. Acceptable use

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, interfere with its operation, scrape it, or use it for spam or any unlawful purpose.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts, and remove points or contributions, if you breach these Terms or misuse the programme. You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time.

7. Disclaimer and liability

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, the Magento Association is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, points or recognition. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will publish the current version on this page with its date. If you continue to use the Platform after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the Magento Association’s place of registration, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rights in your country of residence.
